The idea

The sitar is usually framed as devotional, classical, polite. This show asks why it can't also be sexy, heavy and made for the club. Each episode puts ragas, tabla, santoor and classical vocals next to acid lines and techno, from artists across South Asia and its diaspora alongside Prerna's own unreleased music.
